Apologies for the long delay since there have been
any alterations to this page, System Checker is going to be
re-written in C++ very shortly to improve performance and to use
Windows 95 enhancements. In the mean time the last V.Basic.
version is shown below. A few bugs from version 0.6 were fixed to
provide a stable product. The appearance of the 2 versions are
simiar which is why version 0.6 screenshots are shown.
System Checker is an essential program for anyone using Windows 3.x or Windows 95. It will give you loads of useful information about your PC's setup, enabling you to fix problems more quickly or just to find out about your PC. System Checker covers Fonts, Memory, Disk Space, COM Ports, Network Setup, Printers, File Size, Date and Attribute Information, Monitor Settings, Keyboard, Mouse, OS Versions, CPU type and much more. System Checker is also shareware which means you can freely distribute your copy to other ftp sites or friends. In fact I encourage this to give System Checker a wider audience and to get it thoroughly tested.

The latest
release (Version 0.7) of System Checker For Windows is available
for download from
Here.Look
for the file "SYSCHK07.ZIP".If you
have trouble downloading from here try a site on the Full List of download sites. (Pipex
should be one of the quickest.)
Also in this directory is a file "SYSCHK07.TXT"
which gives details of the distribution.
For a full list of sites that should have System
Checker available look Here You can
also view the latest version of the README file that comes with System Checker Here
Now here are some more screen shots showing some of the most useful functions included with System Checker. Firstly you can Monitor all your memory levels from this easy to use screen showing the current, minimum (RED) and maximum (BLACK) memory levels reached during your current System Checker session

Also on the Disk Screen you can see at a glance how much space you have left on each drive connected to your PC, along with more detailed information about the drive contents, you can even check network drives.

And on the fonts screen you can see a sample of any of your favourite fonts in bold/italic/undelined etc in a range of sizes to save you having to preview it in your Word Processing program

And here is a screenshot from the forthcoming version (0.7). It hasn't changed much yet as I only started on 0.7 a few days ago.

System Checker runs on both Windows 3.x and
Windows '95 already but a Windows '95 optimised version is on the
way, with 32 bit code and API calls and more features including
support for long file names.

If anyone out there is interested in becoming a beta tester, mail
me with your Computer's details (Windows Operating System,
Processor, RAM, vidoe card etc) and receive upgrades to System
Checker free in return for testing them on your PC.
